Hey Kathleen, great questions!!! Eating fruits and vegetables in their
whole form is great, but the reason juicing them is considered better is
because it allows you to consumer more fruits and vegetables in a
single serving than you would be able to if you ate them whole. When you
eat them whole you do get the benefits of the fiber but the fiber also
makes you feel full faster. Also, fiber is never absorbed into the body,
it only goes through the digestive tube and out the other end (and
helps provide bulk along the way). The key here is that you should be
eating your fruits and vegetables and then I recommend adding in 1 glass
of fruit and vegetable juice into your diet as well. This will allow
you to get the nutrients and benefits from more fruits and vegetables in
your diet than you would be able to if you were to only eat them whole.
